Richard Brune

Richard Brune is a sales and marketing professional with over 25 years of experience in building and managing some of America’s most recognizable consumer brands.

Mr. Brune has an unbroken record of substantial sales and market share increases with such brands as Stanley Tools, Hartmann Luggage, REI Inc., Swiss Army Brands and licensed products with Eddie Bauer and Disney.

Richard has a proven ability to develop new markets and expand existing ones. He is an effective leader with the ability to build highly productive and motivated sales teams. A bottom line executive with the ability to reduce operating expenses while continuing to enjoy growth and profitability.


Andrew Lewin, MSc, Adv. Dipl. GIS

Andrew is a marine ecologist who works on marine conservation projects around the world. He has had the opportunity to work in the Arctic Ocean, Pacific Ocean, Atlantic Ocean, and the Gulf of Mexico. He likes to work in the field, collecting samples and surveying invertebrates, fish, and marine mammals, and the in the office processing field data to determine why species are found in certain habitats.

He is pleased to work with Pacific Marine Research and their Marine Afloat Program as he believes that educating young people on how to take care of Puget Sound and our waters is critical to the future of the planet’s waters. Andrew uses his marine expertise to work with other PMR board members and its staff to ensure that PMR’s current program and future programs help young people learn to take care Puget Sound.


George Robertson

George brings science and business experience to PMR. He worked on several marine conservation projects in Thailand, Malaysia, and here in the United States with the National Marine Sanctuary Program. George is now working in the financial field helping clients with there personal financial planning and investments. His experiences and skills help direct PMR in financial and science management.








Fred Schapelhouman, CPA, CVA, CFE

Fred Schapelhouman is a consultant with over 25 years of experience in various senior financial roles. He has served as the Chief Financial Officer at a couple of public Pacific Northwest companies – Insightful, Aris and Sierra On-Line -with annual revenues ranging from $17 million to $200 million. In addition, Fred has served as CFO to a variety of private companies to leverage his experience and knowledge to provide better financial measurement and focused performance. Fred is the President of his consulting firm, CFO Plus, Inc.

Fred is a CPA, a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) and a Certified Valuation Analyst (CVA). He has a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from San Jose State and an MBA in Finance from Golden Gate University.
